Topics PADS provides a forum for presenting recent results in parallel and distributed simulation. The scope of the conference includes, but is not limited to: o Algorithms and methods for parallel simulation. (E.g., synchronization, scheduling, memory manage- ment, load balancing, partitioning and allocation). o Models of parallel simulation. (E.g., stochastic, Markov, process algebraic, temporal logic). o Methodologies for parallel simulation. (E.g., system modeling for parallel simulation, specifi- cation, adapting sequential methodologies, paral- lelizing existing simulations, new methodologies for parallel simulation). o Implementation Issues. (E.g., general-purpose parallel simulators, application-specific paral- lel simulators, relationship to the underlying architecture, languages for parallel simulation). o Performance of parallel simulation. (E.g., empiri- cal studies, benchmarks, comparative studies). o Case studies. (E.g., multiprocessor architectures, cache simulations, personal communication systems, telecommunication networks, VLSI circuits). Schedule Send submissions to the program chair by October 31, 1995. Notification of acceptance will be made by December 22, 1995. Camera ready hardcopy is due January 31, 1996. Submissions Papers shall be written in English and should not exceed 5000 words. Papers must be unpublished and must not submitted for publication elsewhere. Authors are encouraged to submit their papers in electronic form (postscript only). Guidelines for electronic submission are available on the World-Wide Web at the URL given below. Papers may also be submitted in hardcopy form, in which case six copies are required. Each submission must be accompanied by the following information: a short abstract, a complete list of the authors and their affiliations, a contact person for correspondence, postal and E-mail addresses. To ensure blind reviewing, authors' names and affiliations should not appear in the paper and bibliographic references should be modified so as not to reveal the identities of the authors. Review Process All submissions will be reviewed using a double-blind review process---the identity of authors and referees will not be revealed to each other. Papers may be accepted as regular or short papers. In addition, papers may be accepted for inclusion in a poster session. General Chair Mary L.
